General warranty conditions

Read the following conditions carefully, as they are affected by installation conditions. 9000208 Canada Inc (Montréal Acoustique) does not assume, and does not authorize any person to assume or offer on its behalf to assume, any other warranty obligation or liability.

Before installation, wall panels should be kept clean and dry, in a temperature-controlled area between the lower and upper limits mentioned below for fiberglass and mineral fiber products, and should not be subjected to abnormal conditions. SoftTone, Sonoscreen and other acoustic panels of the same composition should be installed when the temperature is between 15 and 30°C (40 and 120°F). All wet work (plaster, concrete, etc.) must be completed and dry. These temperature and humidity conditions must be maintained throughout the warranty period. How do I get service?

 

You must notify 9000208 Canada Inc. (Montréal Acoustique) in writing of any defect in the product covered by this warranty, within 30 days of first observing the defect, at the following address:

How does the law apply?

 

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from province to province. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

What will 9000208 Canada Inc (Montréal Acoustique) do?

 

For all warranties, if 9000208 Canada Inc. (Montreal Acoustical) confirms such a product defect, 9000208 Canada Inc. (Montreal Acoustical) will deliver at its expense f. to b. the place of installation, a new product of the same or similar type and quality, in a quantity equal to the determined defective section.

THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY IS THE SOLE OBLIGATION OF 9000208 CANADA INC (MONTREAL ACOUSTICS) AND THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE TERMS SET FORTH BELOW AND 9000208 CANADA INC (MONTREAL ACOUSTICAL) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INSTALLATION OR REMOVAL COSTS, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, OR PERSONAL INJURY.

All 9000208 Canada Inc (Montréal Acoustique) warranties are subject to use under normal conditions.

Abnormal conditions include exposure to chemical vapors, corrosive agents (e.g. chlorine), vibration, impact, excessive moisture caused by condensation or building leaks, excessive dirt or accumulated dust. Damage caused by vibration, fire, water, freezing, accident or any form of abuse or exposure to abnormal conditions is not covered by this warranty. If subjected to abnormal conditions, products must be removed immediately and replaced when conditions return to normal.

 

All 9000208 Canada Inc (Montréal Acoustique) products must be installed and maintained in accordance with product-specific instructions. All products must be maintained so as to avoid excessive dirt, dust or moisture.

The warranties for products offered by Montréal Acoustique are as follows:

 

 

- SoftTone acoustic panels, Sonoscreen and custom-made products with the same material composition. - (2 years)

- UNOboard acoustic sheet felt - 5 years

 

- UNO and neoSPACE machined felt products - 3 years
- Melafoam acoustic foam in sheets or panels - 5 years

9000208 Canada Inc (Montréal Acoustique) warranty covers damage resulting from defects in material or workmanship from the date of installation (except for obvious defects in material or workmanship, which must be reported to 9000208 Canada Inc (Montréal Acoustique) within 30 days of the date of installation). This limited warranty is subject to the other conditions described below.

Refer to general warranty conditions for additional limitations. This warranty does not cover damage caused by vibration, fire, water, chemical vapors, freezing, accident or any form of abuse or exposure to abnormal conditions. This warranty does not cover the growth of mold, and 9000208 Canada Inc (Montréal Acoustique) assumes no responsibility therefor. If the product is subjected to abnormal conditions, it must be removed immediately and replaced as soon as conditions return to normal. (These systems cannot be used in outdoor applications, in the presence of standing water, or where moisture will come into direct contact with the wall).
